Manual facial cleansing is a facial treatment in which the skin is cleansed by hand so that the pores are thoroughly cleaned.
It is one of the most common facial cleansing treatments and a good starting point if the skin feels congested.
What the treatment covers
The skin is cleansed manually, working on the pores. The treatment is done in the treatment room at Aikatalo, and its current duration is shown above.
Manual or ultrasonic cleansing?
Both are facial cleansing treatments. In manual cleansing the work is done by hand; ultrasonic cleansing uses ultrasound. They are separate services, each with its own price and duration.
Preparing for your appointment
No special preparation is needed. It is worth mentioning any skincare products you use and anything you would like taken into account.
- Come with clean skin, or arrive as you are — the skin is cleansed at the start of the treatment.
- Mention any strong exfoliating or acid products you use at home.
- If the skin is broken, inflamed or clearly irritated, it is better to wait until it has settled.
After the treatment
The skin can look slightly red for a while afterwards. This normally settles on its own.
For the first days it is worth avoiding strong exfoliation on the treated skin.
