Facial sugaring in Helsinki

The facial area is treated with warm sugar paste. Which part is treated can vary: it may cover the upper lip, the chin or a wider facial area, agreed at the start of the appointment.

Upper lip sugaring is a separate, more limited service with its own price and duration. It is a quick way to tidy the upper lip if you do not want a wider facial area treated.

Come with clean skin. The hair needs to be long enough for the sugar paste to grip it.

• Let the hair grow long enough for the paste to grip it, so avoid shaving the area right before your appointment.
• Come with clean skin on the area being treated.
• Skip heavily fragranced or oily products on the area just before the appointment.
• Avoid strong exfoliation on the day of the appointment.
• If the skin is broken, inflamed or clearly irritated, it is better to wait until it has settled.

Afterwards the skin can look a little red or feel more sensitive than usual for a while. This normally settles on its own.

For the first days, avoid strong rubbing, exfoliation and fragranced products on the treated area.

On the face it is also worth avoiding strongly exfoliating skincare products at first.
